Hello and welcome to inspiration Creek. I’m Stephanie Lema. I’m so excited to be introducing inspiration Creek to you. Thank you so much for being here. Inspiration Creek has not only a mission to inspire, but is focused on what you can do to create something out of that inspiration.

With the combination of inspiration, motivation and next steps you can take to get more out of life. It’s not just about a pep talk. We’re going to learn from some research and science backed information, and each podcast will include a topic that is inspired by some of those topics are inspired by love, inspired by self care, inspired by failure, curiosity, intuition, boundaries, grief, mindfulness, inspired by career, inspired by happiness, grit, life’s purpose, special needs, inspired by meditation.

Really, the list can go on and on. You see anything can inspire. It’s hard to imagine how even the tough topics like grief or failure can inspire. But the hardest things we experience provide our life’s greatest lessons. They can set you on a new journey, change how you view the world, how you think, what you do next. You just never know when, where or how inspiration will come with a topic per podcast, we’ll dive into how each one can inspire and impact your well being. I’ll share my research and provide actionable takeaways that you could start today. We’re starting small, so no lofty, unattainable goals. Here.

It’s all about feeling that nudge of inspiration and then taking the next step. So if you’re wondering who I am, most people call me Steph. I’m a mom of two teens. One is about to graduate high school, which is still super hard for me to believe, and the other one’s just starting out in high school, and she has special needs.

And I mention that because one of our inspired topics is inspired by special needs, my husband and I have been married about 25 years. I work full time remotely, and have made a career in marketing and project management. I’m also a certified health and wellness coach with a certification in holistic nutrition. My passion has always been around self improvement and development and health and wellness, nutrition.

I especially love to dive into the areas around how our thoughts can create positive growth and action, and how our thoughts can also hold us back. I love learning about how you can retrain your brain, how you can refocus your thoughts, and really interested in how we think and just that whole mind and gut body connection. I’m a true believer in mind, body and spirit connection as well. So it’s all super fascinating to me.

I’ve been through some things as we all have, and many life lessons that have just taught me so much, and I’m still learning something every day. I love sharing what I’ve researched and learned with others and people like you. So I’m so excited that you’re here. I love being outdoors, walking my dogs and listening to podcasts while I’m walking my dogs.

I used to listen to podcasts while I was commuting about 45 minutes each way to the office years ago, so I’ve had a lot of podcasts listening, and that’s really how this podcast came to life. So in the spirit of the podcast and research backed information, I came across an interesting study about inspiration. It was a global report that included a survey of adults, where 80% of them believed that inspiration not only was vital to their lives, but more important than sleep, physical intimacy and personal treats.

Inspire in focus was a global study conducted by Wunderman Thompson, and they surveyed 16,000 adults aged 18 and over across the US, UK, China and Brazil. Inspiration was defined by them as the human experience that always feels good and always evokes change. Their report went on to reveal that people find inspiration in five main ways, and those were identified as being outdoors in nature.

They find inspiration in movies and TV and stories of honesty and integrity and stories of kindness and through travel, and that is why each episode will be titled inspired by because the list is truly endless. The deepest, darkest and even the lightest and brightest topics can inspire you to do something new and different. We all have that light inside of us just waiting to come alive, and you just really never know what can make it shine. So I hope you’re excited. I know I am.

The next episode, we’re talking about a topic that’s really at the foundation of everything, and that is love inspired by love. I’m excited to share the topic how it can inspire and the ways that love can really impact your health for the good and not so good. And don’t worry, because I’ll have my research to back that up. We’re not just talking. About love for another person, though, this topic is about self love and how it can impact your health and well being. We’re just getting started, and there’s so much to come.

I hope that this has inspired you, and if you’re wondering what you can do next, when you go on about your day, you can just take a moment and look around. Are you in the same old, stale and boring environment?

Go outside for a walk, put your toes in the grass, look up at the sky, and you can reset and get grounded. Just a few minutes of change to your environment is not only a great self care tip, it can also inspire you to regain that motivation. Have a little more hope and see some new possibilities.

Make a small shift for big impact. None of this needs to be these big, giant goals that may not be sustainable in the long run.

Anyways, it’s all about taking those small steps. The way I’ll close out each episode is by sharing a quote that resonates with that episode’s topic and will hopefully resonate with you too.

Today’s quote is from Ella Fitzgerald, who was an American singer songwriter and composer who said, Just don’t give up on trying to do what you really want to do where there is love and inspiration. I don’t think you can go wrong. I couldn’t agree more. Thank you for listening today. Remember, it’s not just about doing more. It’s about letting your inspiration guide you, because the possibilities are truly endless. Until next time. This is Steph, wishing you an inspired life.

Shift Your Mindset: How to Overcome Limiting Beliefs

Have you ever caught yourself thinking, “I’m just not good at this” or “I’ll never be able to…”? Those little phrases might feel harmless, but they’re powerful forces shaping the life you live. Limiting beliefs act like invisible fences and barriers we create for ourselves. We think they’re the truth, but really, they’re just thoughts…

How to Harness Change Instead of Fighting It

They say you can’t step into the same river twice. The water has already moved on and so have you. That’s the thing about life. Change isn’t an occasional visitor, it’s the river itself. And whether we’re ready or not, we are always learning to swim. I’ve supported others who were navigating sudden change, those…

What If Wellness Wasn’t a To-Do List?

If you’ve ever felt like “wellness” is just another thing to manage, you’re not alone. Somewhere along the way, self-care turned into a checklist with things like meal plans, supplements, workouts, meditation, hydration goals. It’s easy to feel like you’re always falling short, even when you’re trying so hard to “do it right.” But what…
